also Keiko is right when she says she feels useless and unneeded on the station and she's right to be angry that Miles apparently didn't consult her before taking the promotion and forcing her to step away from the prime job for a botanist on the Enterprise and she's right to feel frustrated that he doesn't seem to understand that she's not looking for a handout or to "plant some plants on the promenade" because she's Really Good at her job and it's patronising to not acknowledge that it's more than just planting plants, and she's right to ask if he wants to raise their daughter here and Keiko deserves better and I will always decide in my personal hc that o'brien is actually miles o'brien-ishikawa
